macbook smart sleep

If you own a macbook (like me, hehe) and if it has a lot of RAM installed (like mine :P) then you might not like the “safe sleep” feature that Apple introduces, kinda always “hibernating” the macbook when you close the lid, causing it to take several seconds till it’s sleeping.

You can turn safe sleep off but it’s actually kinda handy when you are low on battery power. So the solution is “smart sleep” – it lets the macbook only save its state in RAM till the battery reaches a certain level, below this level it suspends and hibernates together, at 5% battery level it only hibernates.
