life is good

At the moment, I just can’t complain.

And because these moments are rare, I will not spoil them.

We spent the weekend in Maastricht at Desilia’s – This city somehow reminds me of my home so much that I get very relaxed there. Must be the hilly surrounding (the “Dutch alps” as Anna calls them)

I got myself a new coat, clothes for Vincent and we enjoyed the small guy a lot. He has begun coordinating his hands and can grab/fetch/snatch objects and then talks to them – fantastic! :)
We bought him a wooden chewing-toy which he uses to train his hand-eye-coordination. He is progressing soooo fast…
He also started grabbing the stroller as if he was in a motorcycle so we just had to add glasses :D

cool guy

Before we went to the bike dealer and spend a LOT of money on some new bicycles and accessoires for children. As soon as our HR department has settled the details with the NFP we will be proud owners of two Gazelle bikes! A “bloom” for Anna (special model with a long wheelbase (for up to two child-carriers) and “low entry” – and a “Impala” for me – a timeless Dutch classic bicycle that could have been produced 50 years ago (if not for the gel saddle, the rollerbrakes and the shimano transmission) – I hope this all turns out the way we imagine it. I will drive 12 km to work every morning and then 12 back – if I don’t get back in shape now, I never will ;)

Work is great, too for the moment.
I am having a lot of fun there and as things are looking we are going to be more technical in the future – like getting access to the routers of the customers to troubleshoot “on the live patient” – yay!
My Cisco certification is on its way, too – with or without my employer I will be a CCNA by the end of the year. I love to be motivated.

And for whoever is reading this and wants a word of advice:

Love is the key!
